About three thousand representatives of business, authority and science gathered in Krasnoyarsk to take part in the work of the annual economic forum, which has become the central political public event in Siberia. This year it has been opened by the youth ground "Generation 2020", the main issue of which is "Universiade. The city living in sport". As it is Krasnoyarsk that represents Russia in the bid campaign of the World Universiade 2019.

"The ground is unique as it has been prepared by the youth, who present their ideas here on the Krasnoyarsk land", - Sergey Ladyzhenko, Youth Government Chair of the Region said in his address to the forum participants. This year to assess their creativeness the Russian International Olympic University (RIOU) experts were invited. The head of RIOU research department, Professor Nikolay Peshin worked in the professional section "Sports infrastructure" devoted to the problem of creating mass sports objects in Russian cities. Young leaders submitted their projects of sports infrastructure development for the experts' approval. According to professor Peshin, "the participants of the section demonstrated positive thinking, fresh ideas and initiatives, which can move the frozen social system and encourage it to develop sport and corresponding infrastructure". He also stressed that the participants of the section should continue their work on the projects and think how to make this sphere attractive for private investments. "We should not hope only for state support", – he said.

The head of RIOU international programmes Dmitry Boshman worked effectively in the section "Fashion and sport". What directions the changes should occur to make sport fashionable among young people? What problems prevent sport from becoming the cult in the country population? These and some other questions were discussed in the course of open debates. From Dmitry's point of view, to make young people develop the spirit of sport we need radical changes at all levels of education system. Firstly it is the question of state policy. "The state should not only build infrastructure, but also create most favoured nation treatment for small and mid-sized business work (economic facilities, defense from local authorities despotism). Only this way we can create in Russia sport touristic clusters like surfers colonies in the South of Spain or summer touristic center near the French city Ancy, where young people in comfortable conditions can do alpinism, kite-surfing and cycling", Dmitry Boshman said.

The Youth ground KEF presented a good opportunity for active views exchange in the professional field. Young people got involved in the process, transmitting their ideas and proposals on creating sports capital to state authorities. It is hoped that they will be heard at federal and regional levels.

RIOU representatives within the forum conducted consultations with their Krasnoyarsk colleagues. In particular, Nikolay Peshin discussed the perspectives of further collaboration with Pro-rector of Siberian Federal University Vladimir Kolmakov.
