Members of the Public Council for the Preparation of Sochi 2014 Winter Games discussed the future of the Russian International Olympic University at the regular meeting held in Sochi on March 28.       

RIOU Rector Professor Lev Belousov made a presentation about RIOU progress in launching the inaugural Master of Sport Administration course in Sochi in September 2013. The University Admission Board received applications from more than 10 countries. Among candidates are representatives of National Olympic Committees, sport federations, managers of sport venues, former athletes. The Chairman of the Sochi 2014 Public Council, Member of the Council of Federation of Russia  Vitaly Ignatenko highlighted particular importance of the Olympic University in training effective sport executives who will take the lead in managing the legacy of Sochi 2014 Games.
