On 26 May the Russian International Olympic University signed a Memorandum of Understanding for International Cooperation with the Université Paris-Sud (France). The signing ceremony was held in Paris and was attended by the Université Paris-Sud Dean of the Faculty of Sport Sciences, Professor Christine Le Scanff  and the RIOU Rector, Professor Lev Belousov. The parties agreed to pursue comprehensive cooperation in the fields of education and research. In particular, the Memorandum provides for faculty and student exchange (up to 25 students per academic year), collaboration in course design, short-term assignments for teachers and researchers, and organisation of summer schools and scientific sessions of common interest. This Memorandum of Understanding is concluded for a period of five years.

RIOU is continuously building a system of effective partnerships with leading Russian and foreign universities. It has established contacts with a number of highly acclaimed educational institutions in Britain, Austria, Canada, Finland  and Spain. RIOU is also strengthening cooperation with international sport federations, NOCs and sports industry organisations on a global level
