In a letter addressed to the RIOU Rector Professor Lev Belousov the IOC Athletes’ Commission Chair and IOC Member Mrs. Angela Ruggiero commended RIOU for delivering courses that help former athletes to make a smooth transition to life after sport. The courses are run in cooperation with the Russian Olympians Foundation. So far, over 200 athletes from 67 regions of Russia have benefitted from these specialized retraining opportunities provided by RIOU. Mrs. Ruggiero also noted RIOU’s remarkable debut in the Postgraduate Sports Course Rankings where it topped the European list of sports courses.
