In a welcoming address, the President of the IOC praised the University for the past 10 years and emphasized that RIOU can rightfully be proud of its achievements.

Thomas Bach: “In the ten years since your foundation, the university has become a key instrument in preparing sports professionals many of whom have already taken up their roles in the sports industry around the world».

Thomas Bach also noted that RIOU plays an important role in promoting sports values, helping to build new bridges in a divided modern world. 290 students from 63 countries have already left the University with Master of Sports Administration diplomas, says Bach.

The IOC President wished the University success in the coming years and expressed hope that Russian International Olympic University will continue to inspire future generations of sports leaders.
