Kazakhstan’s National Olympic Committee and the Russian International Olympic University sign a partnership agreement

Secretary General of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s NOC Daniyar Abulgazin and RIOU Rector Professor Lev Belousov have signed a partnership agreement, which provides for cooperation in the areas of education, knowledge exchange and training of highly skilled managers, for the purpose of promoting mass and elite sport, and disseminating the Olympic ideals.  

Under the agreement, the Russian International Olympic University and the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan will work together to provide cutting edge educational programmes which draw on the international expertise and innovative training technologies and methodologies.

The parties’ cooperative efforts will focus on scientific research addressing the needs of Kazakhstani sport, organisation of professional development courses involving world class lecturers, as well as facilitation of expert dialogue and individual consultations on issues related to the development of fitness and sport, and the Olympic Movement.  

Lev Belousov said: “We have quite a long history of successful cooperation with Kazakhstan, which attaches great importance to producing highly qualified managers for the sports industry. The leaders and officials of the country’s various sports authorities and organisations have undertook training on a number of our educational programmes. We hope to enhance this relationship, and we want to offer the best of our teaching resources and educational methodologies to the Kazakhstani specialists”.
