University Online Library

This is an electronic library covering major subject fields. The content is formed on the basis of direct agreements with the rights holders of academic books and other material. Items are grouped in thematic collections and are available in a uniform format adjusted for reading from the screen (or e-reader) and scientific citation purposes. These resources can be accessed via RIOU's local network or remotely using a login and password.

Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)

The aim of the project is to increase the visibility and ease the use of open access scientific and scholarly journals. The directory contains links to full text articles in over 10 languages covering all scholarly and scientific subjects including law, political and social sciences, sport, business, economics and history. Access to some journals requires free registration.

Directory of Open Access Books (DOAB) 

The primary aim of DOAB is to increase the discoverability of open access books that meet academic standards.

Bielefeld Academic Search Engine (BASE)

This is one of the world's most voluminous search engines, especially for academic open access web resources. BASE provides more than 60 million documents from more than 3,000 sources, including those on sports management. Approximately 70% of the indexed documents are available in the full-text format.

Sports Management Resources

The library of the information portal Sports Management Resources is a dynamic resource that allows free access to full-text articles of foreign professionals and practitioners in the field of sports management. The library started in 2008.

Routledge Online Studies on the Olympic and Paralympic Games (ROSO) is a unique learning resource, publishing scholarly and multidisciplinary research on the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Play True Magazines

Play True, provides in-depth analysis of topics relating to the fight against doping in sport. It is produced by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

WADA was established in 1999 as an international independent agency composed of and funded equally by the sports movement and governments of the world. Its key activities include scientific research, education, development of anti-doping measures, and monitoring of the World Anti-Doping Code (Code) – the document that harmonises anti-doping policies in all sports and in all countries.

LA84 Foundation Library

 

The LA84 Foundation library collection covers virtually all aspects of amateur and professional sport. It includes approximately 40,000 printed volumes; 6,000 microform volumes; 7,000 videos; 400 periodical titles; and 90,000 photo images. Olympic information is a particular strength of the collection.

The RERO DOC digital library contains a wide selection of freely available historical publications - from the International Olympic Committee or the Organising Committees for the Olympic Games - as well as thesis and research reports on Olympism.
