The architectural concept of the RIOU campus originally included such principles as functionality and multimedia. The university's teaching methods are based on the most advanced information technologies. For this purpose a fiber optic cable is now being laid for Wi-Fi and LTE network to be deployed throughout the RIOU campus. One of these technical innovations will be video conferencing that provides unique opportunities for distance learning. Thanks to the interactive systems students will not only listen to their professors but they will also have access to all necessary tables and photographs. All RIOU information systems will be connected by a unified and simple interface, programs can be used without special additional preparation.

The general director of "University Plaza" (the company in charge of construction) Ivan Moskvin-Tarkhanov: "Creating a user-friendly interface to all is one of our main tasks. To get access to any lecture course materials students can simply press the corresponding icon on the touch panel. Usually, students immediately lose access to its library treasures after graduation. At RIOU things will be different. Unique training materials of the Russian International Olympic University (RIOU) will be collected in electronic databases and digital libraries. At any time each graduate will be able to use computer to connect to the university network and get the necessary information".
