The International scientific congress "Olympic sport and sport for all" has opened in Beijing.  Participants of the forum, representatives of universities from different countries met to discuss historical, cultural and social aspects of Olympic sport. This year the congress is held by the Capital University of Physical Education and Sports of China. Among keynote speakers there were: Rector of the National University of Ukraine for physical education and sports, professor Vladimir Platonov, President of Kazakh Academy of sport and tourism, professor Kairat Zakiryanov, Deputy Director General of the Olympic Games Office of the COC, Professor in Sports Science, School of Exercise and Sport Sciences at Henan University, Aijie Liu. The Russian International Olympic University was represented by its head, professor Lev Belousov. At the International Association of Universities of Physical Culture and Sport, which is being held within the congress, RIOU Rector in his speech outlined the mission of the University and its main educational programme MSA.    

The International Association of Universities of Physical Culture and Sport was founded in 2009. It is presided by Kairat Zakiryanov, its headquarters is located in Almaty.  The key mission of the Association is to combine educational institutions and scientists specializing in sport for the purpose of strengthening cooperation in education, research and applied activities, including educational services, contacts and coordination of efforts of scientific sports centers. Today the International Association of Universities of Physical Culture and Sport combines 49 educational institutions.
