All the works on the University Campus building in Sochi are conducted under constant supervision of land-surveyors. Although the building site is located near the slope of the coastline, according to permanent monitoring of geological situation, there is no danger of landslides in this area. The slope stability provides the opportunity to use modern engineering methods of territory defense. The construction does not make any negative influence on the environment.

Ivan Moskvin-Tarkhanov, the Univercity Plaza company CEO, states: «the construction pit of the building site and underground part was enclosed with a sheet pile wall with big embedment to provide the subfoundation stability", The foundations of the University buildings are made of 150 piers. They are all grounded in 27 meters. Besides, the system of bed drainage being used leads ground water in pump stations and channels of stormwater drainage. Such engineering decisions not only provide a reliable footing for buildings but also decrease largely the forces to the whole slope territory. According to the results of geotechnical monitoring which is made at least once a quarter, there are no landslides in the building site and neighboring territory».
