Полный текст

On May 7 and 8, RIOU representatives will participate in "WISE - Work in Sports Exhibition", the first ever international convention for careers in sports. Supported by the International Olympic Committee, this two-day event will provide an innovative platform for discussing various aspects of sports career development for over 1,000 participants – leaders in the sports industry and professional athletes.

The Forum's programme features interdisciplinary conferences and seminars, roundtable discussions about sports professions and careers, career-related live trainings (leadership, group motivation, speaking in public), as well as animations such as live assessments or recruitments, and building up of an online CV library. A concurrent exhibition will bring together best companies and institutions engaged in the development of sports professions, giving them a chance to showcase their offerings. Among the exhibitors are the International Academy of Sports Science and Technology (AISTS), Lausanne, International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES), Loughborough University, Swiss Association of Sports Managers, and others.

WISE ambassadors include outstanding athletes who have made a successful transition into sports management – Claudia Bokel, Olympic medallist in fencing and Chair of the IOC Athletes Commission, Colin Jackson, British athletics legend, Sergei Aschwanden, Swiss Olympic medallist in judo, and Nikki Symmons, Irish hockey player.

Along with some other leading providers of sports management courses, RIOU will display its various educational programmes at the exhibition, and its staff members will assist with any information that visitors might request. Professor Nikolai Peshin, RIOU's Vice-Rector for Research, will join the line-up of speakers in the panel discussion on education in sports to tell the participants what makes RIOU different from other educational institutions, which courses it delivers and what career prospects its graduates have.
