On February 11, RIOU students on the international Master of Sport Administration course took part in the first stage of an orienteering tournament that was held in Sochi’s Riviera Park.
The orienteers were to complete a course using a map and visiting some 30 control points. The RIOU athletes competed as debutants in a special group with no age restrictions.
The students from India, Sri Lanka, Eswatini, Mali and Pakistan were so inspired by the experience that they expressed their willingness to develop orienteering in their countries.
