The Russian International Olympic University (RIOU) has successfully concluded its educational program, "Sport and Modern Media Technologies," hosted for students and faculty of India’s HVPM sports university.

Over two weeks, participants were immersed in the world of sports business and digital media. Modules led by international experts Dmitry Perlin, Philippe Blanchard, and Olga Pokushalova covered cutting-edge topics such as ticketing, event management, artificial intelligence, and blockchain in sports. The curriculum focused on the rapid evolution of media coverage and sports marketing, emphasizing that adaptation to these digital shifts is the cornerstone of success in the modern era.

The academic experience was enriched by Sochi’s Olympic legacy. Students visited the Fisht Stadium and its museum, where they explored artifacts from the 2014 Games and learned about the stadium's technical transformation into a world-class football arena. A friendly curling tournament, bringing together students from 15 countries, further highlighted the program's spirit of unity.

Concluding the program, RIOU Rector and Academician Lev Belousov framed the course as a vital bridge for international cooperation. Addressing the graduates, he stated: "In these two weeks, you have gained new knowledge from brilliant professors—that is the main reason you came to Sochi. With a RIOU diploma and new expertise, you possess a competitive advantage that will help you in your professional careers in your native country - India".

The impact of the course was reflected in its 100% positive rating from participants. Indian student Lhamu Tamang described the experience as a dream come true, noting: "The quality of teaching, open discussions, and the international academic environment expanded my horizons far beyond the classroom".

The cross-cultural academic experience was further enriched by the integration of Indian students with MSA program participants, such as Junaid Khan from Pakistan. He particularly highlighted the atmosphere of mutual respect and friendship, observing that "despite the fact that we represent different countries and cultures, there are no borders between students at RIOU".

During the certificate ceremony, RIOU Guest Professor Philippe Blanchard highlighted the institution's global significance: "Russia gave the world an Olympic university that works for the benefit of all countries. First mentioned in the 'Sochi 2014' Olympic bid, RIOU has turned into a real center of knowledge and competencies".
