Russian International Olympic University Scholarship Programme

MASTER OF SPORT ADMINISTRATION 2023-2024

We are pleased to announce that Russian International Olympic University invites Russian and international candidates to apply for the RIOU Scholarship Programme to pursue the Master of Sport Administration course in the 2023-2024 academic year. The scholarship is available to applicants of any nationality and covers tuition, accommodation and monthly allowance.

Application and Selection Process

  • To apply you need to submit MSA Application online
  • Before starting the application make sure you prepare the following documents:
  • Bachelor's certificate
  • Academic transcripts
  • Valid passport (should be valid for a minimum period of 18 months from the visa issue date and should contain at least 2 blank pages)
  • Valid English language certificate that meets the minimum level requirement of C1
  • Where appropriate: other documents (for example letters of recommendation, appreciation letters)
  • Choose Scholarship option in the MSA Application to notify the Admissions you want to apply for the scholarship
  • The application portal generates confirmation of successful submission. Keep track of your application
  • Deadline for submitting the complete application package: 31st July 2023
  • After submitting application package candidates may also be invited for an interview via Zoom. Interviews usually scheduled for June and July or earlier
  • Winners announcement date: 8th August 2023. The winners' list will be published on the RIOU website. Selected scholars will also receive scholarship confirmation letters

The scholarship includes:

  • Free tuition
  • On-campus accommodation at Brevis Apartments (an apartment shared by two students)
  • Monthly allowance of appr.10 000 rubles (the actual amount will be specified later)

The scholarship does not include:

  • Travel costs
  • Living expenses
  • Recognition of the University Degree Certificates in Russia
  • Health Insurance
  • Resort fee (50 rubles per day of your stay in Sochi)

 

Important Information
  • Scholarship cannot be deferred and is not renewable
  • Students will be required to submit their legalized University diploma for recognition purposes upon their arrival in Sochi. All education qualification documents awarded outside Russia and submitted as part of application to universities in Russia are subject to recognition by the relevant expert organisation
  • International students will be also required to buy Health Insurance Certificate to be enrolled for the course in Russia
  • Estimated amount of living costs including Health Insurance and recognition of University Degree for the whole period of study is 250 000-315 000 RUB that makes about 3 500-4 500 U.S. dollars (depending on currency exchange rates). International students are recommended to consult their banks to explore options to access their bank accounts during their stay in Russia. One of the options is having a UnionPay card. Alternatively, students need to bring cash and exchange it once they arrive in Russia. MasterCard and Visa cards issued by foreign banks are not currently accepted in Russia.
